What makes these intimate cross-country tours so special is the personal attention you’ll receive. For the entire week, I’ll have eyes on your flying—your decisions, timing, technique, and risk assessment—and I’ll offer insights you might not even know you need. Think of it as high-level mentorship that meets you exactly where you are, mixed with the camaraderie and fun of the flying summer camp you wish your parents had sent you to.
My goal is to create an environment that’s both challenging and supportive. I’ll gently hold you accountable to your flying goals while providing the space and encouragement you need to grow at your own pace. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your thermaling, improve decision-making, or build confidence on longer XC flights, this tour is designed to help you level up—safely, sustainably, and with a healthy dose of laughter along the way.
Why Colombia ?
I think Colombia Is the best place in the world to teach pilots how to Thermal, Glide and make consistent, high probability choices in their flying.
A combination of consistent conditions, large landing areas and minimal complicating variables makes practice safe and enjoyable. The culture, landscape and ease of retrieve logistics are phenomenal.
Group
Groups will consist of a maximum of 4 pilots of similar skill level and motivation. Please reach out so I can place you in the right group and make sure working together will be the right choice for us both.
Transportation
Clients will preferably book flights in and out of Cali (CLO). Upon your arrival a driver will be waiting to bring you to our hotel. Some travelers prefer itineraries booked out of the other nearby regional airports Armenia (ARM) or Periera (PEI) which can also be accommodated.
Lodging
We will stay in Airbnb’s where/when its possible and hotels everywhere else. Accommodations included in the price are for double occupancy (shared) rooms unless otherwise specified. Any special needs that are communicated to me will be accommodated on a case by case basis. Air conditioning is not standard in most facilities and isnt necessary if we are spending all day flying.
